The Culloden Estate and Spa

We throughly enjoyed another afternoon tea in the principle Dining room on Sunday 31st August. The Manger in particular was wonderful and the Staff were attentive. In addition the section of sweet pastries and savory options were fresh and delicious. The ambience as always is elegant,relaxing and welcoming.

My wife, her mother and I spent 2 very enjoyable nights at the Culloden recently. It was a brief visit to Belfast and the Culloden was an ideal place to return to and relax after busy days in the city. The manager Cormac gave us a big welcome and tultimahe staff were extremely efficient and pleasant, the rooms were most comfortable, spacious and had fabulous views and the food impressed us greatly. We shall certainly return….

I attended for a facial, the therapist was codie, she was so friendly and welcoming. She gave me a booklet of which products she used and what's best for my skin. They even examined it under a special light to suit my needs. I met Judith at reception who was also so welcoming. They go all out to ensure you have a relaxing experience. The facilities are great, the steam room was out of order but it didnt stop me relaxing. I love the relaxation room after a treatment, where they have soothing music, flavoured tea and fresh water I will be back.

Overall nice experience. The welcome was great, rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was okay overall. We were just very consistently unhappy with the service through the entire resort. - for the included breakfast, it was delicious. Although we waited over 40 minutes for the kitchen to bring out a single order of requested eggs Benedict. We had to ask the staff 3 times for the order. -We sat down in the bar lounge for a quick salad, and a glass of water. We waited 45 minutes for a Cesar salad, and our dirty plates were never taken away, and our water was never refilled. Too bad because the salad was delicious. - Vespers was good food, we enjoyed everything. We’re also the type of people to enjoy a long dining experience. Although there was only two of us, and we were there for a little over 3 hours. It took over 20 minutes for them to take our drink order upon arrival. Then when we were finished our meal, we sat there with nothing but water and waited 30 minutes to just be brought the dessert menu. Very long wait times overall. - we went to the Cultra for our second night. We both had 1 drink and fish and chips. Again, The food was great. Although we were brought our drink, then we sat there for 45 minutes waiting for our food order to get taken. We had to flag someone down, and other tables were being served around us (so it just seems like bad luck). We waited another 20 minutes after we asked for the bill where we got tired of waiting and went up to the front cash to pay. Given our experience with the terrible service, we were upset that we had to always pay the mandatory 10% service fee. We felt like a tip was never earned.
